FAQ

Each group plays a round-robin tournament. The top two teams from each group advance to the ATHL Cup playoffs. It begins with the semi-finals. This is followed by the third-place match and the final. Non-qualifying teams play 2 additional games against each other.

Each team plays exactly 4 games for the tournament.

Amateur players aged 18+ from any country. Individual players ("free agents") are welcome.

Airline tickets.

Most nationalities (USA, Canada, EU, Russia, most countries of Asia) receive a 30-90 days visa on arrival. All you have to do is to buy an airline ticket.
Important note: Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from entry date.

When you land in Dubai airport our transfer of brand new comfortable buses will be waiting for you to drive you to your hotel. The same is about your departure. We will bring you to the airport. Each team will be also provided with transfer to the ice rink and back.

Max 20 players + 2 goalies per team. Free agents will be added to teams to balance rosters.

Absolutely! Games are scheduled with free time for exploring the country.

Sure: there are two options for non-playing participants.

1 option (510$) includes accommodation with breakfast, transfers to games and airport, joint dinner in a desert, networking party at the bar.

2 option (630$) includes accommodation with breakfast, transfer to games and airport, joint dinner in a desert, team party on a yacht, Abu Dhabi tour, networking party at the bar.

According to the UAE laws alcohol is served only in licensed venues. No drinking in public areas.

The schedule will be emailed to the team representative 10-15 days before the tournament. Also you can find the schedule on our website.

Regulation time consists of three periods of 15 minutes of running time. Periods are separated by an intermission: 2 minutes between 1st and 2nd period, 8 minutes between 2nd and 3rd period. Teams change ends to start each period.

Each team is allowed to bring max 2-3 semi-pro players. Other members of the team have to be amateurs without any professional experience. To clarify this point contact us.
